Montreal, Wednesday September 30th 2009 – Marie-Mai’s new album, Version 3.0, takes off with lightning speed. Launched at Metropolis on September 22nd, Version 3.0 has so far seen great success and been ranking in accomplishments.
+ The Nielsen Soundscan, which classifies each week a report on album sales in the country, reveals today a very successful first week on the market. Version 3.0 is in fact number 1 in Quebec sales and number 3 in Canada, with 11,869 copies sold in only 5 days! Such results prove ever more impressive considering other artists simultaneously launched their respective albums, including Mika, Dan Bigras or even Harry Connick Jr.
+ The launch, retransmitted live online, brought together over 6,000 internet users throughout the country, as well as in the United States, France, and South America.
+ Finally, C’est moi, the first single from the CD, has made a remarkable debut in the rankings, starting its launch on radio stations last 17th of August. It has definitely gotten strong reactions and ranked 3rd in the Top 100 BDS (Source: Le Palmarès du September 28th 2009). The single has been lingering well ahead in francophone music sales on iTunes Canada for a few weeks now. It also features in 2nd place on Zik.ca, after having occupied 1st place in the raking for 3 straight weeks. Do You also figures in 6th positions in the iTunes Canada rankings.
Version 3.0 is already being recognized and saluted by the critics as Marie-Mai’s best album yet. And it is now officially dedicated to the public!
