QUEBEC’S POP- ROCK SENSATION MARIE – MAI

RELEASES FIRST ENGLISH SINGLE “DO YOU” TO NATIONAL RADIO

HEADLINES AT THE BELL CENTRE, MONTREAL, JUNE 11TH, 2010

KICKING OFF HER TOUR OF EASTERN CANADA

Considered one of the most significant pop-rock artists of the decade, Quebec's Marie-Mai is equally comfortable singing in French or English.  DO YOU, Marie-Mai's first English single has been released to radio nationwide. A voice reminiscent of Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne and early Kelly Clarkson has audiences wondering, "where has Marie-Mai been hiding". Nothing could be further from the truth.

With over 270,000 albums sold to date supported by 196 tour performances and spectators of over half a million in venues and festivals in Quebec, Ontario, and France, Marie-Mai has 8, # 1 singles in Canada and has received 3 major awards including a 2009 SOCAN Award for Pop Song in the Composer category.  She was the headliner at 3 special performances including the National Hockey League ALL STAR GAME (2009), Canada Day in Ottawa (2009) and Fete Du Quebec in Montreal (2009).  Where Marie-Mai perhaps is most recognizable and currently remembered was during the closing ceremonies of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games where she performed one of her greatest hits, Emmene-moi live in front of BC Place stadium's 60,000 audience members and over 3 billion television viewers.

Headlining on Friday, June 11th at the Bell Center in Montreal, additional performances include:

  • June 17th, 2010 Salle Andre-Mathieu, Laval
  • June 24th, 2010 Fete Nationale Parc Mainsonneuve, Montreal
  • July 17th, 2010 Pow-Pow d'Essipit (Les Escoumins)
  • July 24th, 2010 Festival de la Tourbe (Lameque, New Brunswick)

The city of Los Angeles will host Marie-Mai in the month of August where she will collaborate her songwriting talents for an English EP expected to release later in 2010.

Marie-Mai's current CD, Version 3.0 consists of 12 tracks including DO YOU, and was produced in its entirety by Juno nominated Fred St-Gelais.  Label support by Musicor with distribution by Select, DO YOU is radio tracked and promoted by Toronto's Dale Speaking Ltd.
