Considered one of the most significant pop-rock artists of the decade, Quebec's Marie-Mai is equally comfortable singing in French or English. DO YOU, Marie-Mai's first English single has been released to radio nationwide. A voice reminiscent of Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne and early Kelly Clarkson has audiences wondering, "where has Marie-Mai been hiding". Nothing could be further from the truth.
With over 270,000 albums sold to date supported by 196 tour performances and spectators of over half a million in venues and festivals in Quebec, Ontario, and France, Marie-Mai has 8, # 1 singles in Canada and has received 3 major awards including a 2009 SOCAN Award for Pop Song in the Composer category. She was the headliner at 3 special performances including the National Hockey League ALL STAR GAME (2009), Canada Day in Ottawa (2009) and Fete Du Quebec in Montreal (2009). The city of Los Angeles will host Marie-Mai in the month of August where she will collaborate her songwriting talents for an English EP expected to release later in 2010.
