Platinum album version 3.0

After being honoured as rock album of the year, Version 3.0 has been certified platinum by the CRIA (Canadian Recording Industry Association).

The Female Singer of the Year honoree was presented with the third platinum album of her career, a designation recognizing sales in excess of 80,000 copies of her most recent album.  Marie-Mai, incontestably one of the most beloved performers in Quebec, has thereby surpassed 300,000 albums sold in her career!

The singer continues to enjoy remarkable momentum – witness the success of her most recent single: Comme avant has been ranked #1 on the charts for the past three straight weeks, making it the most-played francophone pop-rock and adult contemporary song on Quebec radio.

Since setting out on her career, over half a million people have enjoyed Marie-Mai in concert, indoors and during festivals.  The singer will close out her indoor Version 3.0 tour with a performance in what is sure to be a packed and frenzied Bell Centre on May 6.

On this International Women’s Day, it’s especially fitting to see the female rocker of the hour receive this well-earned honour – all the more so given the unanimity of feeling towards her from media and fans alike.
